Position Overview
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our team building document automation and lending technology solutions for Indian banks, NBFCs, and lenders. This role involves understanding business problems, gathering and documenting requirements, analyzing financial and lending data, and driving projects from concept to delivery. You will work closely with stakeholders, engineering teams, and AI/ML teams to create scalable solutions across loan origination, onboarding, credit assessment, and document processing workflows.
Responsibilities
- Own requirement discovery for lending products and customer journeys.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate them into clear, actionable requirements.
- Prepare BRDs, functional specifications, process flows, and other documentation with minimal ambiguity.
- Analyze banking and financial data, including bank statements, transaction patterns, and financial statements.
- Work across lending systems such as Loan Origination Systems (LOS), underwriting workflows, credit management systems, and onboarding journeys.
- Drive projects end-to-end, coordinating with stakeholders and tracking delivery progress.
- Identify project risks proactively and ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with engineering and AI/ML teams to ensure successful implementation of business requirements.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and propose process improvements.
- Contribute ideas and recommendations to enhance products and customer experiences.
- Ensure requirements are documented, prioritized, and communicated effectively across teams.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the BFSI or lending domain.
- Strong understanding of the Indian lending ecosystem, including loan documentation, credit assessment, and Loan Origination Systems (LOS).
- Ability to analyze bank statements, transaction behavior, and financial statements to assess customer financial health and creditworthiness.
- Experience creating Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and process documentation.
- Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Understanding of AI/ML products and their applications within financial services and lending workflows.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ownership mindset.
Good to Have
- Experience working directly within BFSI organizations or serving BFSI clients as a vendor or partner.
- Basic SQL knowledge and ability to perform data analysis independently.
- Familiarity with agentic AI concepts and AI-powered document processing solutions.
- Experience with credit management, underwriting, or loan operations workflows.
Education
- CA, MBA, or an equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
- Candidates with strong relevant industry experience will also be considered.
